Overview

TownSync is a civic-tech solution designed to bridge the gap between residents and administrators. I implemented a robust backend using Sequelize ORM with MySQL to handle complex relationships between user reports and admin responses. The system features secure OTP authentication via Aakash SMS API, ensuring verified community interactions. The UI was built with React for a seamless, SPA (Single Page Application) experience.

The Challenge

Integrating third-party SMS gateways for identity verification and managing a variety of community-driven content modules in one UI.

The Solution

Developed a middleware-based API architecture to handle SMS triggers and utilized Sequelize hooks for automated database updates during reporting cycles.

Outcome

Delivered a centralized community hub that streamlines civic engagement and provides administrators with real-time data on local issues.
